Year End $5,000 Matching Grant - Double Your Donation
Our friends at the Kiita Foundation have offered to match Dollar-For-Dollar all financial donations between now and the end of the year up to $5,000! All of these funds will help support our Backstage Class® program providing low-income youth eye-opening music-based field trips like All Access Tours of fantastic Venues with Major Artists and interactive tours at Radio Stations. McDowell Mountain Music Festival - $15 Off Presale Discount Now Through 12/31
Ear Candy is incredibly excited to be a benefitting charity of the 9th Annual McDowell Mountain Music Festival. Each year, the festival brings together bands from a wide variety of genres and locations to rock Arizona. In fact Phoenix New Times named it Best Music Festival in Arizona! Last year the festival raised $15,000 to support Ear Candy's mission! This year McDowell Mountain Music Festival will take place from April 13th through the 15th at the Compound Grill in North Phoenix.

Volunteers Needed!!
Starting on January 2nd, 2012, you can sign up to be a volunteer at this year's McDowell Mountain Music Festival. Not only will volunteering get you access to the festival on the day you volunteer, you will also get a free MMMF t-shirt and the sense of accomplishment that only comes with giving back to your community. Shifts are available throughout the day and range from 4 to 6 hours. Most shifts are late afternoon/ evening. To sign up as a Volunteer click HERE (Signup begins 1/2/2012).
Online Instrument Drives® - Coming in Early 2012
After three years of conducting Instrument Drives® in the Phoenix area, Ear Candy is making a revolutionary shift. In the early 2012 we are switching to ONLINE INSTRUMENT DRIVES®. This new system will allow us to place instruments quicker than ever before and greatly enhance our donor's experience. The mission remains the same, Providing Youth Access to Music Education, but the method we will use is more efficient and effective.

Ear Candy's Impact to Date
In 2011, Ear Candy impacted over 15,000 youth in the Phoenix area through Instrument Drives® and BackStage Class® field trips. Even more impressive is Ear Candy's total impact to date. Every donated instrument Ear Candy places in a classroom remains in that classroom year after year. That means the majority of the instruments Ear Candy has placed since 2008 are still enriching the lives of students!
With this Compounding Impact we have impacted well over 30,000 youth in the Phoenix area to date and are on pace to be over 40,000 by the end of the 2012 school year.

Ear Candy Charity would like to take this opportunity to thank the Fire Departments of Avondale, Glendale, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe. In partnership with these fire departments, Ear Candy was able to collect instruments valley wide. While we are transitioning to our new Online Instrument Drives® system, we will be forever grateful for the partnerships we have had with the heroic fire fighters in our community, and the impact they have had in the lives of thousands of youth!!
