BSC Report

BackStage Class® (BSC) is a music-based field trip program that exposes low-income youth to, "the other side of music education," taking them outside the classroom to explore the intersection of their passions with real-world career opportunities. Please take a moment and view the 2011-2012 Program Report by clicking on the image on the right to learn how we helped open the eyes of over 700 youth with this exciting program!

BackStage Class is designed to provide low-income adolescent youth, grades 9 -12, with once in a lifetime music-based experiences outside of the classroom. Youth are selected from Title I schools and youth development agencies (such as the Boys and Girls Clubs) in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Below are examples of opportunities we share with youth we serve:

  • Artist Sound Check with Q&A Session
  • Music Venue Tour
  • Recording Studio Tour
  • Radio Station Tour
  • Tickets to Music Events
  • Behind the Scene Trips to Museums
